Door Girlz
Get Your Foot In The Door!
The Door Girlz Development Program is a community-focused initiative designed to give up-and-coming comics a foot in the door of the Los Angeles comedy scene through The Crow, Santa Monica’s newest comedy club! Our goal is to offer meaningful stage opportunities that truly help comedians develop professionally with advancement in their careers, while building a strong, supportive culture around live comedy and club operations.
At its most simple iteration: Door Girlz do just that! They volunteer for no more than a 3-hour shift, assisting with check-in for audience members at the door and performing basic opening & closing duties alongside Crow staff. They get to perform the “Cold Open” sets at the shifts they work.
Door Girlz will meet every quarter for stage advancement opportunities, feedback sessions with the club owner/booker, and will be eligible to audition for an official cold open for Bergamot Comedy Fest, along with being promoted as a passed comic at The Crow.
Door Girlz are the BACKBONE and leaders of our community of The Crow. We will come together to celebrate each other's wins, help each other grow, and share hugs, tears, and beers. Social hangs included!

Who We’re Looking For
Comedians who we have seen working on their craft for a while through our open mics, or who have submitted a tape that reflects they have been working on standup for years before arriving at The Crow.
The Crow’s mission is to uplift voices that have historically not been given equal opportunities for stage time and development, but ALL are welcome to apply.
